Paymark’s real-time electronic payment processing network processes over 75% of all retail transactions in New Zealand from over 140,000 point of sale terminals. Paymark have processed nearly 17 billion transactions to date.

‘Paymark Insights’ is a big data analysis tool that provides a real-time picture of consumer spending behaviours. The tool transforms raw transactional data into beautiful and powerful visualisations to deliver real-time sales, transaction and loyalty data to the fingertips of their 80,000+ merchants and retail staff.

The challenge was to create a mobile first, fully responsive website so merchants could keep an eye on their store’s performance, anywhere.

Insights’ simple dashboards take 
the complexity out of understanding data. It’s designed and built especially for busy store staff who need to be able to get information quickly and on the go.

The design of the Insights tool was undertaken in full consultation with a number of retailers. During these workshops both Alphero and Paymark learnt what insights are most useful from a customer perspecitve for day-to-day opperations.

Store managers are already juggling enough jobs without needing to pull together reports. They can now stream live performance without being on the shop floor and get an indication of customer loyalty and repeat business.

Collaborating with Alphero on the implementation of Paymark Insights was a huge success to us, well designed and the process was informed and iterative. It’s great to see Paymark Insights come to life and see it helping our customers.
