We are looking for the ultimate creative storyteller and wonderful wordsmith to join the fab crew at Alphero. We’re a digital agency with a ‘you’ sized hole right now. No joke, but we’ve battled to get the right (write?) words into this job ad. We need you! By the time Caroline (CEO), Matt (Design Director), Mark (Strategy Director) and Amanda (Auckland Director) all got our hopes and dreams for this role onto the list - we realised we are looking for a legit Content Unicorn! A patient unicorn with the fortitude to wade through several pages of waffle as we try to articulate ourselves in this ad. Buckle up.

Words matter. And in a world where AI engines can spit out generic paragraphs on any topic in a nanosecond, we risk losing the human art of listening, understanding context, and creating the narratives, phrases and language that matters. A great content strategist / narrator / wordsmith can elevate a digital experience from commoditised same-same to effective, to memorable, to spectacular. 

We are 100% looking for someone who is fundamentally inspired by how generative AI and the plethora of crazy new tools and technologies out there can totally evolve how we (and you) do our work, and how outputs are presented back. But the machine needs a heart. The machine needs a funny bone. The machine needs a human and we’d like you to be it!

At Alphero we’re a digital agency that works with epic clients in New Zealand, Australia and  from strategy and customer vision, to design and delivery for some of the most impactful (and well-used) digital products and services in Aotearoa New Zealand today. We are currently taking a step back to consider how radically different the world (and what we deliver) will be in five years. On a day to day basis, you will be involved at every stage of our client lifecycle: helping us articulate the ‘why’ to win us epic work; creating narrative frameworks and stories for client strategies and board presentations; connecting our clients’ heart and purpose into the digital experiences we deliver with inspired UX writing and thinking that guide users in feeling, understanding and taking action when they use the products we create.
